Job Title: Plumbing Designer
Location: Rockville, MD

CTA Consulting Engineers is an award:winning boutique provider of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, LEED Certification, and Energy engineering design services. We specialize in innovative design solutions for both complex renovations and sustainable design challenges and serve a diverse group of building owners, architects, government and state agencies, general contractors, and real estate developers.
We are seeking a Plumbing Designer to join our team located in Rockville, MD.
As a Plumbing Designer, you will be responsible for managing the overall plumbing design aspects (water distribution, sanitation, storm drainage and fire protection systems) on multiple projects and deliverables. This includes plumbing design projects for historical renovation, senior living facilities, senior centers, assisted living, nursing homes, churches, high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, fire stations, dormitories, high:rise apartment buildings, garden apartments, offices and shopping centers.
The Plumbing Designer will be responsible for performing plumbing design, CADD work, construction administration, and working directly with our clients to meet their needs.
Candidates that may not have the full number of years of experience are still encouraged : we will provide training to candidates that have the right qualifications.
Responsibilities and Qualifications:
:Develop, design and plan plumbing (water distribution, sanitation, storm drainage) and/or fire protection systems in accordance with job and client specifications and requests.
:Demonstrates Familiarity with local plumbing codes including International Plumbing Code, WSSC regulations, DC and Fairfax County plumbing regulations.
:Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
:Strong ability to communicate clearly and thoroughly with clients.
:Ability to understand and establish client needs and discuss designs and design issues.
:Work well with other designers and engineers within the office environment.
:Must be self:motivated, and able to learn quickly : can accept responsibilities and take on new challenges as presented.
:Minimum 5 years of experience in Plumbing design for commercial and institutional buildings, OR Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum of 2 years experience in plumbing design.
