POSITION SUMMARY: Experienced field cost engineers to develop, integrate, and analyze all costs and earned value metrics on major industrial construction projects ranging from $100M - $600M.
Must be a self motivated individual, excellent verbal and written communicator at all levels of the organization, team focused, and be able to work under minimal supervision.
Will be working as the Owner site cost engineer coordinating and integrating the project's earned value management process with multiple subcontractors providing input.
Will also be working very closely with Owner's site construction team to provide cost and progress information that can be used to monitor and verify the construction activities, measure performance and identify improvement opportunities..
Additional duties include providing financial forecast updates, budget variance reporting, coordination with corporate accounting functions, producing quality construction metrics and progress reports as well as understanding and analyzing cost risk and predicting potential impacts.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience as cost engineer/analyst on major industrial projects.
Education: Bachelor degree in technical/business field or equivalent experience.
Systems: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience with corporate cost systems and report writers such as Business Objects a plus.
Some Primavera Project Planner Enterprise experience beneficial. Other: Must be willing to relocate to project assignment location and able to travel (15%-25%) as required to complete job assignments.
