SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**1 Documents patient information, presents correct information for interpretation, and performs other non-clinical duties to support procedure completion.*2 Performs all aspects of radiopharmaceutical preparation for scintographic, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures and disposes of radioactive trash according to department policy and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.*3 Performs imaging and therapeutic procedures according to requirements. 4 Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.*5 Performs non-clinical activities pertinent to equipment maintenance and NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.*6 Efficiently operates electronic information system and Unit Dose Manager. 7 Maintains appropriate supplies and a clean and organized working environment.*8 Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of Nuclear Medicine. 9 Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.10 Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.
