We’re seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent for a $35M+ construction project in DC. You’ll manage subcontractors, and ensure we stay on or ahead of schedule and that our jobsite – a multifamily development and what is set to be one of our flagship buildings – is safe.

We're a vertically integrated company and we work closely with our development and property management teams to set our projects up for success. We do a combination of occupied renovations, adaptive reuse, ground-up, and both in-house and 3rd-party work.

The Position


The Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager to organize all construction activity, including:

management of subcontractors
jobsite logistics management
safety management
assists and manages the project schedule
MEP coordination
as builts
assists in preparing scopes
assists in preparing budgets
assist in procuring bids
preparing and administering contracts, and
managing the construction process.


Experience:

leading or playing a substantial role as superintendent on 10M+ construction projects
solving problems, multi-tasking and reacting quickly and effectively to issues and problems
motivating subcontractors to achieve targets
achieving results under pressure
using MS Office to create spreadsheets, budgets, communications, flyers etc
using Procore and MS Project preferred – a willingness to learn required

highly safety conscious with the ability to anticipate, prevent and mitigate safety risks
strong acumen for how things come together in a construction project
strong follow-up and follow-through
an eye for the big picture as well as the details
the ability to effectively and accurately anticipate risk and develop creative solutions
flexibility and adaptability
ability to effectively manage subcontractors and communicate effectively
ability to work with/without direct supervision
exceptional organizational skills
self-motivation and self-direction
willingness to learn and focus on what is most important for each part of the business (broader than a traditional general contracting focus)
Must have a reliable vehicle to travel between jobs. Must have proof of liability insurance for same. Bondable and valid Driver's License.

The ideal candidate will specifically have experience with:

multifamily construction
Procore
a vertically-integrated real estate environment.
