Position: Executive Assistant to the President

Company Description: The Voter Participation Center (VPC) is a research-driven, results-oriented 501(c)(3) organization that conducts research and education programs to help increase the civic participation rates of the three groups comprising the Rising American Electorate (RAE) and the majority (54 percent) of the voting eligible population. Since its inception, VPC has conducted groundbreaking research and devised effective registration and mobilization strategies that target, inform, register, and turn out millions of RAE members, building their power and bringing their participation rates closer to their share of the population. The VPC was the first organization to recognize the power of marital status in determining registration and turnout rates as well as political preference.

Women’s Voices Women Vote Action Fund (WVWVAF) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to increasing the voting participation and issue advocacy of unmarried women and the rest of the RAE and ensuring the political narrative addresses their needs and concerns. WVWVAF is involved in elections by educating unmarried women and the rest of the RAE about the candidates and their positions on issues of importance to them.

Position Description: The VPC and WVWVAF seek an experienced, talented individual to join our team as the Executive Assistant to the President in our Washington, DC office. The Executive Assistant will serve as the receptionist for the organization and conserve the president’s time as her professional and personal assistant; act as liaison between the president, staff, and consultants; responsibilities include: scheduling and facilitating meetings, some document management, and administrative and personal support.

Job Duties:
· Reception: Welcome visitors; answer phone lines; receive mail; order office supplies; keep public areas organized and presentable
· Scheduling & Facilitating Meetings: Manage correspondence regarding meeting requests for the president; develop/obtain itineraries, agendas, and other materials for the president’s travel and meetings; maintain office calendar to reflect upcoming meetings, events, and deadlines; provide connection information for all conference calls and webinars
· Document Management: Assist in generating the President’s meeting packets, documents, and presentations as appropriate; produce memos, briefings, and other supplemental materials as assigned
· Administrative Support: Maintain the President’s organizational and personal contact lists and office files; various tasks such as data entry and event coordination as needed and assigned
· Personal Support: Order lunch, make personal appointments, and run errands for the President as assigned

Skills/Qualifications: Experience with scheduling either on the Hill or working for a nonprofit organization is required. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is flexible and comfortable dealing with evolving and competing priorities. Level-headedness, a pleasant attitude, and good judgment are critical requirements. A broad base of administrative skills, familiarity with presentation software and scheduling protocols, and a strong level of computer proficiency highly preferred. Applicants must be at least high school graduates (or equivalent) to be considered.
