Job Description Curriculum Outreach Director Responsibilities include: Oversee Workshop Delivery · Establish and execute strategies to deliver Curriculum Outreach workshops in all regions · Deliver/ensure delivery of high quality workshops when appropriate, with particular focus on student engagement and high quality content · Create and manage the UA Curriculum database/Calendar · Field calls from perspective clients · Assist in Curriculum Outreach pricing and invoicing · Create a safe and professional learning environment for youth · Facilitate workshops with enthusiasm in an environment that encourages active participation and a high degree of student engagement · Clearly articulate key messages and lesson takeaways · Work with UA evaluation team to properly evaluate workshops and assess learning · Prepare and train “UA Teaching Corp” Curriculum Development Lead · Research best practices in youth employment to ensure UA properly prepares youth for employment · Regularly review and modify curriculum based on best practices · Ensure that organization’s curriculum is differentiated for various age groups and includes activities geared toward all learning styles · Lead in creating/assisting with the development of Curriculum for new programs · Develop/design new strategies and tools to use within the CO department · Lead organization’s effort to digitize curriculum · Create in house training modules to ensure program teams are prepared to facilitate program material · Oversee contracted Curriculum Specialist/Writers · Manage external curriculum partnerships National Thought Partner · Coordinate and connect with UA regions around Curriculum Outreach projects and goals · Provide guidance to regions regarding CO initiatives and projects Program Management as assigned (Suitland) · Support program coordinator · Coordinate/connect with Suitland team regarding needs of partnership · UA VPP project representative (In collaboration with UA Chief of Strategic Partnerships) · Responsible for overall curriculum outline and timeline · Responsible for ensuring the Suitland program outcomes are met and final report is completed and submitted Partnership Development and Maintenance · Establish and execute strategies to secure new partnerships · Carefully manage relationships to ensure long-term partnerships · Review and modify curriculum based on the needs of each partner Administrative Support Regularly update Salesforce database with relevant student and workshop information · Work with finance department to develop budgets for new initiatives to ensure all Curriculum Outreach commitment are appropriately itemized · Work with the UA Evaluation team to create an effective tools for workshop and facilitator evaluation systems Company Description The mission of Urban Alliance is to empower under-resourced youth to aspire, work and succeed through paid-internships, formal training, and mentoring. We accomplish our mission by providing high school students with long-term, paid internships in professional settings where each student’s supervisor also serves as his/her Mentor. Additionally, we provide job readiness, life-skills, and financial literacy workshops, as well as assistance with college and vocational planning. Over the last decade, Urban Alliance has employed over 1,500 youth, maintained a 99% high school graduation rate, and facilitated 88% of program Alumni enrolling in college.
