The Business Development Associate will be responsible for generating qualified leads and trade show booth engagement through multi:channel communication tools. These tools include proactive outbound telephone calls, follow:up messaging, and emails to pre:qualify, information gather, warm and set appointments for sales executives at trade shows and in telephone meetings. You will need to thrive well in small, fast:paced environments; have a passion for B2B marketing/sales and healthcare; and come with a team spirit to help out wherever possible to build engaging marketing and sales efforts.
Job Title: Entry Level Business Development Associate
Division: Business Development
Reports To: VP, Sales
Appointment Scheduling: Use multi:channel communication telephone and email tools to set appointments for Sales.
Trade Show Marketing: Use multi:channel communication telephone and email tools to build brand and product awareness and set on:site meetings for Sales.
Qualifying and Targeting Leads: Determine through communications and research whether leads are viable, and if so then target prospects, identify their pains, and demonstrate the key overview benefits that our solutions can offer them. Provide detailed notes to Sales and Marketing to target the messaging.
Appointment Re:Scheduling: Follow:up with prospects to reschedule appointments as needed.
Nurturing Prospects: Follow:up with prospects to re:engage as needed.
Research and update contact database as needed.
Provide assistance as needed on marketing and sales projects.
Engaging telephone demeanor.
Experience in B2B telephone sales. Track record of achieving and surpassing quotas.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present concise information effectively and respond to questions.
Have familiarity with CRM (such as SalesForce) and dialer software (such as InsideSales).
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Good Internet research skills.
At least two years of sales/marketing experience in a B2B environment helpful.
Degree in business, communications, or health sciences helpful.
