Job Description
Smartronix, Inc., is an information technology and engineering solutions provider specializing in Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Health IT, Network Operations, and Mission-Focused Engineering.
Smartronix is seeking to hire an Engineer to install, configure, and maintain an organization's local area network (LAN), data communications network, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
Perform System monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems. Review System and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups. Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access. Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN), including design, provisioning, capacity planning, and maintenance.
Demonstrated experience with network design (LAN & WAN), including backup systems and disaster recovery architectures (DR).
Required Experience
Minimum Experience Required:
Five (5) years experience with backup disciplines and protocols to include comprehensive knowledge of specific backup and restore tasks.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in designing, developing, configuring, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, deploying, and supporting backup and recovery technical solutions.
Knowledge and experience on Cisco or Brocade SAN / Fabric switches.
Hands on experience & strong understanding on CommVault products.
Knowledge on VMWare technologies
Experience on Scripting, Automation & Orchestration.
Knowledge on Software Defined Storage/Software Defined Data Center.
Demonstrated experience with IT solutions creation and delivery.
Extensive experience in a Microsoft Windows 2008/2012 Active Directory based enterprise environment.
Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including STIGs.
IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoDD 8140.01 Cyberspace Workforce Management (or achieve within six months of TOA or hiring)
Minimum Education Required:
BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or Engineering.
ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Additional 6 years of relevant experience.
Security Clearance: Secret clearance required at time of hire based upon a SSBI completed within the past five years.
