Broccoli City is a social enterprise whose mission is to build thriving urban communities that sustain future generations. We are taking on our planet's largest social impact challenges by connecting individuals with opportunities to create change in their communities. We are engaging people all over the country to help build their communities by being active participants through community service actions and education.

We are currently looking for interns with a passion and drive to actively affect change in their communities in innovative ways. Working with our Director of Impact and Program Managers, you will be helping Broccoli City reach it's community impact goals and helping engage thousands of people throughout the county in community service projects.

Through the Broccoli City Internship program, students and young professionals, just like you, are able to acquire invaluable experience. You are given support and mentorship as you receive hands-on experience with real projects inside and outside the office, learning the necessary skills currently needed in the professional world. Interning with us is a fast-paced environment with many priorities simultaneously, but we always keep a fun atmosphere!

What You'll Be Learning:

How to develop community impact campaigns
Community engagement strategies
How to construct outreach strategies
Community project organizing
Program development skills
How to evaluate and report efficacy of impact projects and programs
How to identify social impact trends and projects
How to working with and identify strategic partners in target cities
How to manage volunteer partners
And much more!

What We Require:

Proven ability to conduct research
Ability to manage
Ability to work in diverse communities
Previous Community organizing skills
Abundantly creative, an out-of-the-box thinker and innovator
Basic computer skills & experience with social media
Self-motivated & strong organizational skills
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Outstanding time management – ability to set goals, prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to be a self-starter and work under minimal supervision at times
Understanding of the "team concept" and ability to function as a team member and as a team leader
A willingness to make a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organization

Intern will be 40 to 50% of work will be completed remotely
The position starts January 9th and ends May 6th (Could be earlier based on schedule over holidays)
15-20 hours per week, unpaid but opportunities for financial incentives
Reports to Director of Impact and Program Manager
