We are seeking a Consulting LOB Finance Manager in our Rockville, MD (20852) office.
Role and Responsibilities
-oversee P&L forecast to budget
-oversee month end close entries and reconciliations
-oversee AR and collection activity
-review monthly FFP project percentage of completions (POC) and lead quarterly FFP project reviews
-review all contract bookings for DOA approval recommendation
-report project revenue and P&L monthly, quarterly, and adhoc reporting to LOB
-maintain and provide field support on Engagement Pre-Approval Form (EPAF) which is NS2 equivalent of SAP Margin Calculator
-oversee VSOE measurement tracking
-provide input to internal systems project team about needed functional requirements
-provide project profitability reporting and analysis
-post monthly revenue entries
-Reverse previous month unbilled accruals.
-Post adjusting entries for POC projects. Average of 20-25 projects
-Post unbilled accruals for the current month
-Post adjusting entries related to credit received from the parent and any other adjustments for incorrect postings to GL or PC
-Reconcile consulting revenue report to ECC after all the billing specialists have reconciled
-Post GSA fees for SW and Consulting projects
> 5 years professional experience
5+ years of accounting or finance experience or in required field (revenue accounting, pricing, commissions, billing, etc)
Experience with SAP ERP highly preferred
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Very good understanding of IFRS accounting issues and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and local accounting skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Fluent in English
Contracts: Requires an extensive understanding of software license contracts and delivery of associated services; 7+ years’ experience with software/software related services terms & conditions negotiation
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance/IT Law/ Computer Science or related business background (MBA preferred) Preferred: Pursuing MBA, Master's or Legal degree.
